2016“感动中国”十大年度人物揭晓

导读:2月8日晚，“国人年度精神盛宴”——中央电视台“感动中国”2016年度人物在京揭晓，功勋科学家孙家栋、火海救人英雄王锋等10人光荣当选，“特别致敬”大奖颁给了勇夺里约奥运女排冠军的中国女排。

The Touching China Awards that recognize the country’s most inspiring role models were announced on China Central Television last week.

上周，中央电视台“感动中国”揭晓了2016最令人感动的人物。

Zhang Chao, the PLA Navy fighter who died in a training session, was among the 10 winners along with a doctor, two educators, two scientists and a hero who saved people’s lives in a fire. Let’s have a look at their stories.

在一次训练任务中不幸牺牲的海军队员张超与另外一名医生，两名教育工作者，两名科学家和一名在大火中救人的英雄等10人光荣当选。让我们一起来看看他们的事迹。

Zhang Chao

张超

Zhang served as a pilot in the aircraft unit of the PLA Navy. He died in a routine training exercise in April.

张超是中国人民海军飞行部门的一名飞行员，在去年4月的一次例行军事演习中牺牲。

Zhang was recruited by the navy in 2004. After training as a fighter pilot for five years, he joined a naval aviation squadron. In 2015, he passed stringent selection procedures to become a pilot in the country’s first carrier-based aviation force.

张超于2004年入伍，进行了5年战斗机飞行员的训练后，他加入了一个海军航空中队。2015年，他通过了严苛的选拔程序，成为了中国首个航母舰载机部队的飞行员。

The 29-year-old was the first member of the unit to die in the line of duty.

29岁的张超是为我国航母舰载机事业献身的第一位烈士。

Sun Jiadong

孙家栋

Sun Jiadong is an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the chief designer of China’s lunar probe project.

孙家栋是中科院院士和中国探月工程的总设计师。

A graduate of Zhukovsky Air Force Engineering Academy of the former Soviet Union, Sun is also known as China’s "Father of Satellites".

他毕业于前苏联茹可夫斯基空军工程学院，被业界公认为中国“卫星之父”。

He has been leading satellite research since 1967, including the development of China’s first guided missile, first man-made earth satellite, first remote-sensing satellite, and the Beidou navigation satellite.

他自1967年就开始领导我国的卫星研究，包括中国第一颗导弹、第一颗人造地球卫星、第一颗遥感卫星、以及北斗导航卫星等。

In 2009, he was granted the nation’s top science and technology award.

2009年，他获得中国国家最高科技奖。

Guo Xiaoping

郭小平

Guo Xiaoping runs a hospital in Linfen, Shanxi province. In 2004, Guo opened a "love classroom" in the hospital for children with HIV/AIDS who were denied the access to public schools due to their disease. Since then, the classroom has attracted more and more students with the disease. In 2011, the Red Ribbon School established by Guo was included in the national education system.

郭小平是山西省临汾一家医院的院长。2004年，他为那些患有艾滋病却不能到公立学校上学的孩子办了一个“爱心课堂”。自那时起，这个课堂就吸引了越来越多的艾滋病感染儿童。2011年，他的红丝带学校被列入了正式国民教育序列。

Liang Yijian

梁益建

Liang Yijian is an orthopedist at No 3 Hospital in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

梁益建是四川省成都市第三医院的一名骨科医生。

He has treated more than 1,000 patients with severe scoliosis, or curvature of the spine. Scoliosis is classified as a severe condition, and potentially damaging to a patient’s lungs and heart.

他治愈了上千个极重度脊柱畸形患者。脊柱侧弯是一种严重病，可能会潜在的影响患者的肺和心脏。

Liang inserts metal bars into the body of patients to form a brace that helps straighten their backs. In this way, he treated many patients who were told by other hospitals that there was no cure. As many of the patients are from rural and less developed areas, who could not afford the medical cost, Liang has helped raise money for their treatment.

梁益建将金属条放入患者的体内，形成一个支撑以帮助病人挺直背部。通过这种方式，他治愈了许多被其他医院宣称无救的患者。由于许多病人来自农村或者贫困地区，无法承担医疗费用，梁益建还帮他们筹集资金。

Ablin Abliz

阿布列林.阿不列孜

Ablin Abliz is a former judge and procurator in Hami prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

阿布列林.阿不列孜曾是新疆维吾尔族自治区哈密地区的一名法官和检察官。

In 1968, the man visited the former residence of Jiao Yulu, a leading example of an honest Party official, in Lankao county, Henan province. After the visit, he made up his mind to be an official like Jiao. In more than four decades of work, Ablin Abliz has remained impartial and clean in each position he has served.

1968年，他参观了中国模范干部代表焦裕禄位于河南省兰考县的的故居。自那以后，他下定决心要做一名像焦裕禄一样的好干部。在长达40多年的职涯中，阿布列林.阿不列孜在每个岗位上都清正廉洁。

Li Wanjun

李万军

Li Wanjun is the top welder at Changchun Railway Vehicles Co under China Railway Rolling Stock Corp.

李万军是中国铁路股份有限公司下发长春轨道客车公司的首席焊接工。

Since 2010, Li has led his team to secure 21 national patents and tackled key technical bottlenecks in manufacturing China’s high-speed train. He was praised by Premier Li Keqiang as "master of high-speed train welding".

自2010年起，他带领他的团队取得了21项国家专利，解决了中国在制造高铁列车中的关键性技术瓶颈。国家总理李克强夸其是“高铁焊接大师”。

Many foreign companies have invited Li Wanjun to work for them, but he has stayed with the Chinese company he has served for 30 years.

许多外国公司邀请他去工作，但他坚持留在自己服务了30年的公司。

Pan Jianwei

潘建伟

In 2011, 41-year-old Pan became the youngest academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

2011年，41岁的潘建伟成为了中科院最年轻的院士。

He is the chief scientist of world’s first quantum satellite project. The satellite, named after ancient China’s philosopher and scientist Micius, was launched in August last year.

他是世界第一颗量子卫星项目的首席科学家。这颗卫星以中国古代哲学家、科学家墨子命名，于去年8月成功发射。

Qin Yuefei

秦玥飞

In 2011, Qin Yuefei, a 27-year-old who graduated from Yale University, decided to enter public service as an entry-level assistant in a remote village in Hunan province.

2011年， 27岁的秦玥飞从耶鲁大学毕业后，决定到湖南省边远乡村做一名基层干部。

In Hejiashan village, the 27-year-old Yale graduate has raised more than 800,000 yuan to renovate dilapidated canals, pave roads, renovate the nursing home and procure tablet computers for the students. Villagers fondly call him "Brother Yale".

在贺家山乡，这位27岁的耶鲁大学毕业生筹集了80多万元（11.6万美元）修水渠，铺公路，扩建敬老院，还为学生们争取到了平板电脑。村民们亲切的称他为“耶鲁哥”。

Qin also founded a project called Serve for China, which is dedicated to bringing young talented Chinese people to help alleviate poverty in rural areas.

秦玥飞还发起了一个叫“服务中国”的公益项目，招募支持优秀人才到贫困地区从事精准扶贫。

Wang Feng

王锋

In May, Wang Feng risked his life to rescue his neighbors from a massive fire that broke out in their three-storey building, in Nanyang, Henan province.

去年5月，王锋所居住的河南省南阳市三层楼的房子突发大火，他冒着生命危险救出了邻居们。

Wang, who lived on the ground floor with his wife and daughter, was the first to notice the fire. After he took his family to safety and raised the alarm, Wang ventured back into the burning building to save others. He was severely injured in the process and died from severe burns in October. His efforts helped enable firefighters to rescue 20 residents.

王锋和妻儿住在一楼，最先发现了火灾。他把家人带到安全的去处并报警后，便投身到了熊熊燃烧的大楼中去救援其他人，因此严重烧伤，于去年10月去世。他的努力帮助消防员救下了20个邻居。

Zhi Yueying

Zhi Yueying is a rural school teacher in Fengxin county, Jiangxi province.

支月英是江西省奉新县的一所乡村教师。

In 1980, the 19-year-old from provincial capital Nanchang became a teacher in a rural school despite objections from her family. She believes education gives children, who have limited exposure to the outside world, a tool to dream about their future.

1980年，来自江西省省会南昌市的19岁的她，成了一名乡村教师，尽管遭到了家人的反对。她相信，教育才能帮助这些对外界生活了解有限的孩子们去憧憬未来。

Though sh

e has reached the retirement age for women in China, Zhi has decided to continue teaching in the rural school.

虽然她已达到了中国女性的退休年龄，仍然决定在大山里继续教书育人。
